Who I Am and What I Do
I’m Kim Srp, I’m a Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, Lover of Life and Wandering Traveler.
I help people change their lives by guiding them on a path of self-discovery to figure out what is preventing them from having a healthy relationship with food and exercise.
Everyone’s story is different and there is no one size fits all solution. Together, we will figure out what works for you. I will help to educate, support and guide you through your personal journey.
Nothing makes my heart happier than helping people like yourself overcome the negative feelings you have towards your body and food. To love yourself and the lifestyle we create for you is the goal and together we will get there.
Through Eating Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise & Mental Wellness we will accomplish the following:
Explore those mental blocks preventing you from changing your unhealthy patterns.
Discover healthy food choices that you love.
Learn to love your body during the process.
Create and exercise plan for a healthier you.
Tools to help you destress and love the life you are living.
The goal is to make mental and physical changes for your unique lifestyle and long-term changes for your well-being.
My Story
Nutrition and exercise have always been a big part of my life. I love the outdoors and all of the adventures that go with it. Hiking, biking, skiing, or just walking and discovering a new city. All of this makes my heart full.
In 2013 I was diagnosed with the BRCA2 gene mutation. With this mutation I had an 80% chance of getting breast cancer and 45% chance of getting ovarian cancer. Since I had witnessed family members leave this earth due to this mutation, I decided to have the preventative surgeries. In the next 2 years I had a Hysterectomy and a Mastectomy with Reconstruction. When all was said and done I was a changed person to say the least. I was out of shape. I had gained weight due to lack of exercise and induced menopause and I was very depressed. My body was never going to be the same. I had a choice to live the rest of it as a victim or to get over it, put on my big girl panties, and deal with it head on. I decided I was going to rock this 50 year old body as best I could.
I got an amazing trainer who helped me with my new limitations to get back into shape. I started eating healthier (no more going through the fast food drive-thru) and lost all the weight but I still wasn’t happy. I realized I had been working so hard to get my body back, that I had completely neglected the most important part….my head.
It was through meditation and much soul searching that brought me back to life. I learned to love my new body as imperfect as it was. It was then that I realized that our brain is what dictates our well-being. Our head runs the show and if it’s not happy nothing else will work in harmony.
My personal experience is what has given me the genuine desire to help others overcome their struggle in achieving wellness. I have researched countless information on my journey and now I’m able to share what I have learned with others who are lost and searching for solutions. My personal journey along with my Health Coach training has given me the tools to support, educate and empower.
I look forward to being by your side on your adventure of cultivating self-love and health.
With warmest regards,
Kim Srp
