How Do You Wander?

I find it interesting when exploring new cities how many people take a bus, train, cab etc.  For me, I’m afraid of what I might miss on the journey to where I’m going.  I ‘ve found the best and most interesting mode of transportation. It’s inexpensive, you never have to wait for it, it will take you wherever you want to go and here’s a secret… most people have access to it.   In fact, you have two of them! Your feet!  Walk my friend!

There is no better way to practice the art of wandering than just simply walking.  So many great experiences are missed as you zoom by in a cab hurrying to reach your destination.  The magic is in the journey getting there.  Walking and just taking it all in…there is nothing better than that.  There is no guilt in taking in those extra calories when you know you are going to be a calorie burning machine just because you decided to forego that train ride.   Enjoy the day, stop at a park and people watch.  There is so much to be learned just in the everyday.

This way of thinking can be applied to almost anything in our lives.  Sometimes we are so focused on the destination we forget to enjoy the experience of getting there.  Life is about the paths that take us to our destinations.  Once your there, life doesn’t stop it points you towards another.

So instead of being in a hurry to get to where you’re going, stop enjoy the moment, the winding paths, the people…it’s called life and we all should take it in and love it even when it’s not ideal.

To wander and explore will lead you to extraordinary moments. Go live it!
